Preparation and photocatalytic properties of g-C3N4/BiOCl heterojunction

摘要
g-C3N4 is a polymer semiconductor material with visible-light response capability, BiOCl has a unique layered structure and indirect band gap transition mode, which can be effectively separated photoelectron-hole generation and charge transfer. This paper prepared the heterostructure of g-C3N4/BiOCl by hydrothermal method, and explored under what ratio g-C3N4/BiOCl can more effectively remove methylene blue (MB) in visible-light. The results show that BiOCl is well dispersed on the g-C3N4 layered structure, forming g-C3N4/BiOCl heterostructure, which has higher photocatalytic activity than single g-C3N4 and BiOCl. The degradation efficiency of 90 % g-C3N4/BiOCl was 91.53% when the photocatalysis progressed to 240 min.
