摘要
Research in recent years has demonstrated the chemical heterogeneity of early medieval glass compared to the uniformity seen among artefacts in the subsequent High Middle Ages. The article, providing an overview of the development of glass production in Bohemia at the dividing line of these two periods, addresses the transformation of glass-working and glass-making technology between the eleventh and thirteenth centuries, in comparison with that in the tenth century. The use of non-destructive EPMA SEM-EDS unabled to define various chemical types testifying to the divergent technologies and provenance of both the raw glass and artefacts.
