Simple empirical formulas to estimate the dielectric constant and conductivity of concrete

摘要
Knowing the frequency-dependent and moisture-dependent relative permittivity and conductivity values of concrete is critical to develop a variety of future wireless and radar technologies including sensing, wireless power transfer, and radar imaging. Due to their continuity of two parameters (frequency and moisture content) and based on the existing measurement results of concrete dielectric constant and conductivity in the literature several simple mathematical expressions are developed to estimate the dielectric constant and conductivity of concrete. These formulas can be used to estimate the dielectric constant and conductivity of concrete from just a few MHz to 2 GHz with moisture content varying from 0 % to 10%.
