摘要：
The Japanese government is working to enhance its light water reactors (LWRs) in the following aspects: design improvements for enhanced safety and reliability of facilities, technology development in order to reduce human errors in all stages of activity, development of efficient reactor cores to conserve nuclear fuels, accident prevention, and radioactive waste management.
