摘要
Human hazard consequent to electromagnetic exposure is identified and controlled by civil and military recommendations and laws. When the exposure impact is due to high average power electromagnetic; sources, it is mandatory to approach the siting evaluation and installation together with the human hazard aspect. Main steps are: development of a state-of-the-art electromagnetic model of the sources, embedded on the surrounding structures with details of materials and geometry; development of an optimization procedure aimed to maintain adequate Quality of Service and minimize the exposure; on-site test of the source, aimed to confirm the applied hypothesis and to certify the status of the area. The details of these steps are described, based on innovative modeling and measurement experiences on a large number of new high power multimedia telecommunication systems.
