摘要
In our cities one can see a gradual change in (wind) climate. These changes may be caused by the ever-increasing presence of high-rise buildings in the urban environment. This article explains how high-rise buildings can affect the local wind climate. An early detection method for any problems in this field, is the application of wind tunnel measurements in parallel with the planning of tall buildings, which technique allows for measures to be taken in time. In the Netherlands this has become daily practice already. With this technique it is possible to counteract adverse effects or at least to make these effects manageable.
