摘要：
This paper presents a software agent-based and Web services-oriented environment (JAWS), which combines the concept of Web services and agent to build a distributed objected-oriented system. In this environment software agents are autonomous entities that interact with users. Software agents search relevant Web services, integrate them into a composite service, trigger the Web services at the right time and in a right order, and monitor the execution progress of the composite service for exception handling. Due to introducing software agent, JAWS takes on autonomy, intelligence and openness.
