摘要
The effect of catalyst (Methyl ethyl ketone peroxide) concentration on mechanical and thermal properties of Orthophthalate and Isophthalate unsaturated polyester Resin has been studied The theoretical analysis on the mechanism of microgel formation and the crosslinking density has been explained. Using a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), the variations in crosslinking density with changes in concentration of Methyl ethyl ketone peroxide have been established and through this morphological studies a plausible correlation has been arrived at to explain the variations in mechanical and thermal properties of Ortho Resin with variations in concentration of catalyst.
