摘要
Soil aquifer treatment ( SAT) has been known as one option for water reclamation. However disinfectants can react with organic matter to form disinfection byproducts (DBPs) which maybe a threat to human health. Lab-scale column experiments with different soils and retention time were performed to evaluate the feasibility of soil aquifer treatment ( SAT) on the reduction of formation potentials (FPs) of trihalomethanes (THMs) and haloacetic acids (HAAs). The sand column with a hydraulic retention time (HRT) of 7 days showed the highest reduction level of THM and HAA FPs. A positive correlation between the FPs and UV254 also found. Therefore UV254 could be used as an index to monitor the THM and HAA FPs in SAT effluent.
