摘要
Spectroscopic properties of Sm3+ and Dy3+ (1mol%) doped chlorophosphate glasses of the type 69P(2)O(5)center dot 20Na(2)HPO(4)center dot 10RCl (R=Na, K, Mg and Ca) and 69P(2)O(5)center dot 20Na(2)HFO(4)center dot 5NaCl. 5RCl (R=K., Mg and Ca) are studied. The spectroscopic parameters such as oscillator strengths (f), Judd-Ofelt intensity parameters (Omega(lambda)), radiative transition probabilities (A(T)), radiative lifetimes (tau(R)), branching ratios (beta(R)) and absorption cross-sections (Sigma) have been determined and are reported. The hypersensitive nature has been discussed in the present work. The magnitudes of branching ratios (beta(R)) are higher for F-6(7/2)-> H-6(5/2) transition of Sm3+ ion (except Na-Ca) and F-6(5/2)-> 6H(15/2) transition of Dy3+ ion among various transitions. From the fluorescence spectra, emission cross-sections (sigma(P)) are obtained for the three transitions, (4)G(5/2)-> H-6(5/2), (4)G(5/2)-> H-6(7/2) and (4)G(5/2)-> H-6(9/2) of Sm3+ ion and two transitions, F-4(9/2)-> H-6(9/2) and F-4(9/2)-> H-6(13/2) of Dy3+ ion. From these studies certain transitions have been selected for laser excitation.
