摘要
The technical and economic aspects of integrating a solar - hydrogen system into the already existing classical energy system of developing country with a sunny climate are studied. The role of solar - hydrogen technology in tile improvement of the energy independence of the country is analysed. Necessary changes in the existing power system are considered to enable introducing the additional renewable energy sources, particularly the solar - hydrogen source. Considering various options in the energy systems evolution, the feasibility of an integrated energy system is evaluated by analysing the performance and operating costs. A particular advantage of such system is rationalization of the fossil fuel use and environmental protection. The evaluation study based on load demand and insolation data of various regions in Republic of Macedonia. shows that the participation of up to 40% of renewable sources in the integrated energy system is feasible.
