Microstructure and mechanical properties of severely deformed TI-6AL-4V and TI-6AL-4V/TiC metal matrix composite

摘要
The present work focuses on the microstructural evolution and resulting room temperature mechanical properties of Ti-6Al4V and Ti-6Al-4V/TiC reinforced composite, severely deformed at different temperatures (550degreesC to 800degreesC) using Equal Channel Angular Extrusion (ECAE). The effects of the extrusion temperature and number of passes on the microstructural evolution and ambient temperature mechanical properties were investigated.
