Charaea Baly, 1878 (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Galerucinae) of Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar and Peninsular Malaysia

The species of Charaea Baly, 1878 from Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar and continental Malaysia are revised. Nine species are recognized; apart of Ch. coomani (Gressitt and Kimoto, 1963) and Ch. kelloggi (Gressitt and Kimoto, 1963) from Vietnam, seven species are described: Ch. bifurcatum sp. nov. (Malaysia), Ch. houaphanicum sp. nov. (Laos, China: Guangdong), Ch. jaromiri sp. nov. (Thailand, Laos), Ch. langeri sp. nov. (Myanmar), Cit. latha sp. nov. (Laos), Ch. pytlaki sp. nov. (Thailand), and Ch. zaki sp. nov. (Myanmar). Charaea coomani species group is redefined. Colour photographs of habitus and male genitalia, as well as drawings of both male and female genitalia, are presented.
