Web technology and standardization for web 2.0 based IPTV service

摘要
In this paper, this document introduces the current standard activity for web-based metadata application, especially in ITU-T IPTV FG (Focus Group). The FG is interested in service requirements, architecture and functionality to provide IPTV service. Among various functionalities, metadata functionality and web technology are necessary to support interactive data service. Currently, Web technology is moving from web 1.0 to web 2.0. One of the major features in web 2.0 is supporting more interactive capability than web 1.0. Therefore, this document addresses the relationship between web 2.0 and IPTV service.
