摘要：
The key factors for the development of a successful Taiwan loquat industry include: temperature insensitive cultivars with good quality, appropriate tree training to increase photosynthesis, shading, flower and fruit thinning, cooling system during flowering for better pollination, good soil management, irrigation, fertilization, microclimate regulation, controlled heating system during fruit development, organic cultivation and improved cold storage facilities. Breeding programs are under way to obtain improved cultivars.
