摘要
The orchestration of an IoT application is a significant challenge due to its components' heterogeneity and infrastructure diversity. The configuration and the setting up of each IoT environment require sophisticated work. On the other hand, the Topology and Orchestration Specification for Cloud Applications (TOSCA) can facilitate the modeling of distributed cloud applications to automate their deployment and orchestration on various computing infrastructures such as local PCs, Edges, and Clouds. Therefore, TOSCA can also model and provide distributed IoT application automation. The modeling process can be beneficial to describe all the application components in all the hosted environments. In this paper, the TOSCA standard has been used for a comprehensive, portable, and reusable modeling of an IoT application for Intensive Care Unit (ICU) based on Docker Containers on various infrastructures: local PCs, Edges, and Clouds to reduce the required work for manually setting up and modeling the diversity of its components and dependencies, as well as the heterogeneity of the hosted environments of the ICU application.
