STUDY REGARDING THE TEACHERS' NEED FOR TRAINING IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATIONAL COUNSELLING

摘要
The Romanian modern learning system, found in an entire conceptual, axiological and methodological reform, really needs actual researches concerning the nature of relations between educator and student, the contents of the scholar counselling and guiding activity, the methodologies for these activities, etc. Usually, the teacher is given only the basic role, that of leading instructive-educational activities for students, discarding the other possible roles, as, for example, the role of school manager, counsellor for students, class master, creator of learning situations. To educate means to influence behaviours, and in order for these influences to be felt in a desirable direction it is necessary that the transmitter of the influence has certain psycho pedagogical competences. In school environment one can identifiy a series of issues and phenomenon that request the necessity to train teachers in the field of educational counselling: problems connected to learning (school failure, decreased motivation to learn, etc.); problems connected to undesired behaviours; problems linked to the teacher-student relation, children parents relation; problems linked to the adaptation and integration in school and group environment; problems linked to violent manifestation in general; problems connected to the management of personal crises situations. Thus, training teachers in the field of educational counselling has an important impact on the quality of the educational act. The study can also be an efficient informative tool whose results can be integrated in the educative and administrative approaches of many categories of beneficiaries or decisional factors. The provided data can form the base of understanding the relevance of future programs for continuous training.
