We experienced laparoscopic-assisted colorectal resection with lymphadenectomy for fourteen patients from April '95 to December '97. Operations were performed under pneumoperitoneum but one case of right hemicolectomy was done under lifting method. We routinely performed extracorporeal anastomosis through a minimal laparotomy but double stapling technique was available for lower sigmoid colon cancers and rectal cancers. We think that laparoscopic-assisted surgery has the potential to be popular for early colorectal cancer. Right hemicolectomy and sigmoidectomy with lymphadenectomy are presented.
