A Novel High Efficient Scheme of LDPC on FPGA for Optics Communication System

Low bit error rate (BER) is required in high speed communications such as the 100 Gbit/s long haul optic communications. A new high efficient method based on FPGA to generate the pi-rotation LDPC is proposed in this paper. By using the XOR logic gate replace the summator, the number of logic gates are greatly reduced. And the new algorithm of calculating the vector V supposed by this paper can make the pi-rotation LDPC codes consume lesser resource. The results shows that this scheme is practicable and with less resource and energy consumption. So it is very suitable for hardware implementation of the pi-rotation LDPC codes.
