摘要：

This article depicts how, since the late 1970s, black feminist thought has called attention to the "intersectionality" of race, class and gender oppressions in black women's lives. It shows how this thought has poised itself as an alternative to black discourses on black patriarchy as a solution to the economic and social plight of African Americans.
