摘要
A revival of Romanian economy requires a continuous process of changes and modernizations, starting from the mental level up to that of economic, social, political and legal acts. Observing the evolution of global economy, we could foresee a true progress concerning the competitive advantage. The solution to increase Romania's competitiveness would be that of implementing a knowledge-based economy and of improving the innovative activity. The creation of partnerships between universities, state and business environment, as well as the development of regional innovation networks or clusters as they are considered by the European Commission, could become engines of economic growth based on innovation and also they could lead Romania's economy to a sustainable competitive advantage. This paper investigates how the Knowledge-Based Economy presents its implications for the Economic Higher Education and for Romanian Business Environment. This study was conducted by the means of a deep research concerning a rich background material and the conclusions reflect that our country must be aligned to the world economies based on knowledge, on technological and information transfer. Romania must put aside traditional economy. The originality of this paper and its value consists in identifying changes in Romanian society and in adapting education to business needs.
