摘要
Handling of information security in digitally supported construction projects - part 1: risk potentials in the application of the BIM methodology Digitalized processes are an increasingly important economic factor in construction and real estate industry and closely related to the Building Information Modeling methodology (BIM methodology). Although the application of the BIM methodology constitutes a step towards a more efficient collaboration in construction projects, it also entails several risks. The theft of sensitive digital information from national construction projects in France at the end of 2018 is to be mentioned exemplarily at this place. This information could be reused improperly in various ways. Project stakeholders are usually not familiar with the security risks arising from the digitalization of project information and the resulting amount of data. This problem is reinforced e.g. by a lack of corresponding requirements in project tenders and a standardization process which is still under development. The current situation and the main issues regarding information security in construction projects are outlined in this essay. Based on this, significant risks for information of a construction project are identified, by means of the digitalized processes due to the application of the BIM methodology. In the second essay, there are exemplary measures introduced which could be applied for the mitigation of the identified risks.
