Detailed losses analysis of high-frequency planar power transformer

摘要
As the operating frequency has been increased toward the megahertz range to improve the power density, the accurate losses estimation of power transformer becomes very important in the power converter design stage. The detailed losses of the high frequency planar transformer will be obtained talking into account both the high frequency effected conductor losses and the non-sinusoidal excitation core losses. The loss analysis of the planar transformer is verified by the Finite Element Method(FEM) Simulations and could be utilized to optimize the transformer design procedure.
