摘要
The Authors describe the technique and early results of diverticulectomy, esophageal myotomy and antireflux procedure, to treat epiphrenic diverticula of the esophagus through a transhiatal laparoscopic access. Nine patients underwent this procedure from January 1994 through January 2000. immediate postoperative course was uneventful in all but one patient who developed a leak that required thoracotomy. Medium-term functional results are good, This operation satisfies the principles of treatment of the diverticular pouch and of the underlying motor disorder. Longer follow-up and a wider series are mandatory to substantiate these initial favourable results.
