摘要
This paper proposes a novel method for battery state-of-charge (SOC) estimation. The proposed method is based on the well-known and widely-used coulomb-counting technique; however, unlike traditional methods, the current is estimated without a sensor. The main advantage of the proposed technique, besides its reduced sensor-count, is that it eliminates the SOC estimation error due to the accumulated error caused by the current sensor, which is the main drawback of conventional coulomb-counting techniques. Details on the proposed method followed by experimental verification are presented.
