Development of a real-time environment for the study & control of large-scale power systems

摘要
In this paper, the real-time simulation system for study and control of very large power system is described. The real-time simulation system consists of 26racks of RTDS(Real Time Digital Simulator), power system reduction software and data conversion software to perform simulation of large power system in real time environment. The 26racks of RTDS can handle more than 500 buses in real time environment and power system reduction software can reduce the original power system which has more than 2000 buses to the reduced power system which has less than 500 buses maintaining dynamic characteristics. The data conversion software can produce RTDS format data file from the reduced power system automatically. With the real-time simulation system, we could simulate KEPCO power system which had 2085 buses and compare the simulation results.
