SEXUAL VIOLENCE: CONCEPTIONS OF RAPE AND HARASSMENT BY UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

For a long time, universities were seen as safe places, and the studied subjects would be phenomenons from outside of it's structure. Researches about violence inside of universities have only recently been made, because, as Almeida (2017) stated, the number of reports of harassment and rape at universities has now increased. Accordingly, this research has the goal to analyze the ideas constructed by students around matters like abuse and rape, based on their experiences in the university.The research was made with mixed methods, performed by a online quiz, and the final data was analyzed through a content analysis. The results were divided into three categories, which are conceptions abot rape, sexual abuse and harassment. From this project, noticed that even though there are differences, the distinction between these concepts still very blurry to lots of students.
