摘要：
Multimedia services and enabling technologies to realize them are reviewed. Following the perspective of the future system-on-a-chip in a multimedia era, issues and approaches for solution are discussed. In order to satisfy the requirements from system people, higher integration, higher performance and lower power consumption should be realized in a shortest time frame. System and teehnology people are required to enhance mutual communications, to find optimum solutions in diversified environment.
