摘要
The aim of the article is to identify methods of averting the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in tourism. For the purpose of the research a qualitative approach was used. Through the use of semantic field analysis an attempt was made to identify instruments of preventing the effects of the crisis caused by the pandemic. The article presents the results of in-depth interviews conducted with representatives of the tourism industry of Lower Silesia and Lesser Poland. The research material was used to indicate the actions taken by the Polish government in crisis situations in the opinion of experts. The paper also discusses the types of state support for entrepreneurs within the anti-crisis shield. The key part of the analysis is an outline of the applied research approach, as well as a discussion of the obtained results. The conducted analysis of the semantic field showed that the role of the state in averting the effects of the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic was perceived ambiguously by the experts participating in the interviews.
