Explosive field emission from graphene sheets

摘要
Due to the high aspect ratio, excellent conductivity and large quantities of edges, graphene can serve as an ideal efficient edge emitter for field emission. We report here a high current explosive field emission form graphene sheets. The emission current was about 10KA with nearly perfect rectangular emission pulse. Because of the large quantities edges with a lot of defects and functional groups, the graphene can easily make uniform plasma and hold on continuously for the high-current explosive emission.
