摘要
This paper discusses geometry and grid generation issues for an automated shape optimization using computational fluid dynamics and computational structural mechanics. Special attention is given to five major steps for shape optimization: shape parameterization, automation of model abstraction, automation of grid generation, calculation of analytical sensitivity, and robust grid deformation.
