摘要
This paper presents the outcome of a project aimed at developing a system for the management of the information flow regarding the approval and supervision of pre and post-arrival animal quarantine station. In particular, the paper outlines the project strategies and issues identified during the implementation process of a GIS based application in an organisation characterised by a low level of GIS maturity. The tools used for the Business Case evaluation, the assessment of the organisational and technological capacity, the architecture of the webGIS application used for the pilot study and the protocol developed for the quarantine station performance evaluation are presented.
