From Rosa Luxemburg to Cornelius Castoriadis. Between Socialism and the Regression into Barbarism

In the present article, we propose to revise the subject of "Socialism or Barbarism" in the frame of thought of Rosa Luxemburg and Cornelius Castoriadis in view to resignify the political action in the context of contemporary neoliberalism. We consider neoliberalism not as a political or economic regime but as a way of life that has an impact on the ways of being, the ways of acting and the ways of thinking of us, men and women of the 21st century. This new configuration of capitalism that consolidates itself with its wars and its rising poverty, which leaves young people, children, women, elders in the open air, shapes neoliberalism as a new figure of barbarism. Because of that, it is necessary to think again the political action, the who, the how and the where it could be exercised in views of transforming society and shape it as a time-space fit to live in.
