FATDOG: Hadoop based Test Data Generation Tool for RESTful Web Service

摘要
To validate whether RESTful Web service systems could provide available services, it is indispensable to perform efficient and effective functional testing before their large-scale deployment, where the pivotal and first step is to automatically generate valid test data. In this paper, we develop a parallelized and automated test data generation tool based on the Hadoop, where mutation testing and genetic algorithm are utilized together to generate feasible and effective test data. Practical test experiment results show that our test data generation tool has better efficiency and actual applicability towards the large-scale testing scenarios for RESTful Web service applications.
