摘要
Multi-parameters and multi-region optical fiber measurement is of the utmost importance for structural health monitoring. We propose and demonstrate a distributed optical fiber sensing system based on time offset for many separated regions optical fiber measurements, in order to realize the many separated regions simultaneous measurement, the distributed optical fiber sensing system based on time offset with the partials reflector for wide measurement range was carried out. In this study, we discusses that the max number of detecting regions for the distributed optical fiber sensing system. Furthermore, serials of temperature tests is also conducted in two detecting regions laboratory. The experimental results show that the optical fiber sensor based on time offset exhibited good linear performance with 97% linear coefficient, the experiments demonstrated that the output intensity values increase obviously along with the temperature changes and the sensitivity is almost same for the specific optical fiber detecting length in detecting regions. No only point measurement but also multi-region distributed measurement could monitor by the distributed optical fiber sensing system based on time offset effectively.
