摘要
This paper introduces the procedure of emergency remote sensing assessment for Yushu earthquake happened in April 2010. The methods with 2 schemas of macro assessment and city assessment contain three elements which are vulnerability, information extraction, and losses estimation. In the first schema, a sketch intensity map coming from the residents' damage in remote sensing imageries, replaces the circle or ellipse empirical models to assess losses. In the other schema, buildings' damage information is the basis, which will be extracted by visual interpretation and human-computer interaction from the high resolution disaster imageries. Then RSDI and equivalent DI could be calculated to generate estimation intensity in the town of Jiegu. Besides, the mid-and low-resolution imageries are used to half-quantitatively assess the buildings collapse situation, which shows a well application prospect.
