摘要
The development of the Philosophy of Biology in the first half of the 20th Century has been the subject of multiple studies that seek to understand the importance it had in the development of Life Sciences, which had been dismissed until a few decades ago. The objective of this work is to show Jakob von Uexkull as a key author to understand the conceptual and epistemological displacements that occurred at this time; analyzing its links with vitalism, mechanism and the emergence of a structural biology in response to these epistemological conflicts.
