The construction of two-dimensional plane elasticity element using B-spline wavelet on the interval

摘要
Both B-spline wavelets on the interval (BSWI) and wavelet finite element method (WTEM) are developed. Based on adopting the scaling functions of the tensor product of BSWI as trial functions, a new finite element of BSWI is presented to solve plane elasticity. Unlike the process of direct wavelets adding in the previous work, the elemental displacement field represented by the coefficient of wavelets expansions is transformed into edges and internal modes via the constructed transform matrix in this paper. The numerical example indicate that the element can effectively provide accurate results through a multi-level solving procedure.
