摘要
This paper describes the form grinding machining process of an irregular (special-shaped) roller on a new advanced type of overrunning clutch. With regard to test on a common-used plain surface grinding machine, the form grinding principle the layout of the machining schedule, the workpiece installation together with clamping, and the electrolytic in -process dressing (ELID) for the special-shaped grinding are discussed. Some rules on machining roughness, profile accuracy, and material removal rate together with comparison with common form grinding by other dressing methods are illustrated. Compared with the original broaching process, from grinding has various advantages in machining efficiency, machining quality as well as stability, tool cost and management.
