Research on Corporate Social Responsibility and Financial Corporate Performance-Evidence from China Listed Companies

This paper addresses the research question of whether Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) affects corporate performance. By employing financial corporate as our sample, we find that the disclosure of CSR has a positive influence on corporate performance as well as its stability. Furthermore, the positive association between CSR and corporate performance is pronounced for firms with large size. Our research provides a more complete picture of the effect of CSR on performance. Besides, we provide additional feasible suggestions for some stakeholders.
