EFL faculty's role in developing EFL students' critical thinking through online interactions in Taiwan

摘要
This paper reviews the literature on the need for online faculty to reexamine the complexity of EFL Taiwanese students as whole persons with cognition, emotions and culture to facilitate their critical thinking online Creating socially constructed experiences online to first address students' affective and cultural needs before their cognitive development is a pedagogy that encourages critical thinking to be developed from a more holistic, multi-dimensional perspective in the local context of Taiwan.
