摘要
In this study, we investigate the transient problem of Generalized Couette flow and heat transfer in a reactive variable viscosity third grade liquid with asymmetric convective cooling. It is assumed that exothermic chemical kinetics takes place in the flow system and the convective heat exchange with the ambient temperature at the channel surface follows Newton's law of cooling. The coupled nonlinear partial differential equations governing the problem are derived and solved numerically using an unconditionally stable and convergent semi-implicit finite difference scheme. Both numerical and graphical results are presented and discussed quantitatively with respect to various parameters embedded in the problem. (C) 2011 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
