摘要
Even though introduction of OSS in daily telecom activities represents a significant improvement by itself, it still leaves an extra space for further improvements. Knowledge bases proved to be an effective way to fill that space, and even more, they represent a solid base for an expert system which can raise a system that implements such activities to a far more sophisticated level giving the latter a new dimension of automation. This paper describes basic concepts of telecommunication network management databases derived knowledge base, along with concepts of attributive language used as a method for describing knowledge base and possibility for introducing higher level improvements such as expert system.
