摘要：
The paper reviews the state of the art on the application of limit reliability functions to the reliability evaluation of large systems. The results developed by the author and his research group are especially highlighted. Two-state and multi-state large systems composed of independent components are considered. The main emphasis is laid on multi-state systems with degrading components due to the importance of such an approach in safety analysis, assessment and prediction and operation processes effectiveness analysis of real technical systems.
