摘要
This review critically examines the body of available research about computer-based attention training in schizophrenia. Efficacy studies were identified by searches in several databases and through the reference lists of key papers including dissertations and studies not listed in common databases. Only five studies were found that met high methodological standards and that were appropriate for on effect size analysis. A serious problem in comparing selected studies is the use of different training programs and different outcome measures. Only in few studies a specific training effect was observed. In general, effect sizes but also power of tests were low. In view of the present efficacy results it appears unlikely that elementary attentional functions can be restituted in schizophrenic patients by computer-based attention training.
