New English loanwords denoting persons in present-day Russian

This paper is intended to classify and analyse new English loanwords denoting persons in present-day Russian. O. Grigorenko's dictionary (2009), in which more than half of all newly coined terms are of English origin, is used as a primary source. In this paper, neologisms are studied in five groups: 1) direct loanwords, 2) anglicisms with Russian suffixes, 3) compound nouns including lexical elements borrowed from English (with special attention to pseudo-anglicisms), 4) loan translations, semantic loans, and hybrid loans, and 5) English loanwords with Russian suffixes denoting female persons.
