摘要
To study the three-dimensional (3D) corrective mechanisms of the Cotrel-Dubousset Instrumentation (CDI), we used the VICON system with 5 cameras and developed specific tools. Thus. following a previous study [4], assessments of vertebral motion for 7 scoliotic patients who underwent CDI were performed within a controlled accuracy (1.5 degrees for rotations & 1 mm for translations). Results show that the CDI provides 3D vertebral motions and the measurement method allows the surgeons to objectively analyze the intermediate steps of the surgery, and permits the constitution of a data base far finite elements model validation.
