摘要
The aim of this study is to determine the course of mobbing experienced by primary school teachers and administrators. The research utilizes a screening model and involves 347 school teachers and administrators working in 16 different primary schools in 4 different central districts in Ankara in the 2004-2005 academic year. The study calculates frequency (f), percentage (%), Chi-Square ((x) over bar), and one-directional variance analysis (F). The results of the study show that school principals experience mobbing more frequently than vice principals and teachers, especially in the domains of "Proving Oneself and Communicating", "Social Relationships", "Attack on Respectability", and "Quality of Life and Professional Status". The study also demonstrates that 57,2 % and 9,8 % of all mobbing acts experienced by teachers are committed by principals and vice principals respectively. The study indicates that 67 % of all mobbing actions teachers experience are downward mobbing actions and that 68,4 % of all vice principals are also subjected to mobbing by school principals.
