摘要
Following hurricane Katrina's devastation of the New Orleans area medical teams attempted to identify people who needed mental health treatment. Stress response symptoms such as sleep disorders, irritability, anger, and anxiety were reported. Children were hit particularly hard in Katrina's wake.Ongoing support, intervention and treatment will be needed for months and years to come.
