Delivering a lab course in a web-based learning environment

摘要
We discuss a learning environment that we developed for use on the World-Wide Web. A allows students to obtain the content of laboratory assignments, as well as supporting materials, interactive guided testing, and demonstrations of appropriate software packages. We describe this environment relative to some general issues in using the Web to deliver materials, and, more specifically, discuss the use of simulation using external software packages and the use of scripting to provide interactivity. Although many of the features of this environment and the particular simulation software used are specific to courses in digital logic design, the concepts illustrated are general and apply to a range of courses.
